Join the Clear Lake Public Library and Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center as they collaborate to provide a stroller-based fitness program this summer. Caregivers can expect about a 60 minute workout, starting and ending at the library, and including stops along the way to incorporate additional exercises. Be sure to bring a sturdy stroller (it doesn’t have to be a fancy jogging stroller), supportive shoes, and a water bottle. The Youth Librarian will provide activities for the children as needed during longer stops on the route. An instructor from the Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center will provide the exercises throughout the hour. This class is suitable for all fitness levels. Babies and other young children in strollers are welcome; children must remain in the stroller or in a baby carrier during the walk.
This group will meet weekly on Tuesday mornings starting June 6th until July 18th (skipping July 4th). Meet at the Clear Lake Public Library at 9:15am, weather permitting. Registration not required.
Tuesday, June 6th from 3:30 - 5:00 pm
Teen Tuesday is for anyone going into grades 6-12. This year's Summer Reading Program theme is Find Your Voice. Let's kick it off right by finding your voice through creating a custom button. Use the button to express yourself or to take a stance on something you believe in strongly. Stop by the library and find your voice!

Dystopia is an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice. Usually these imagined states end up ominously reflective of our own society.
More Than This by Patrick Ness: Seth drowns, desperate and alone. But then he wakes. Naked, thirsty, starving. But alive. And where is he? The street seems familiar, but everything is abandoned, overgrown, covered in dust. He remembers dying, his skull bashed against the rocks. Has he woken up in his own personal hell? Is there more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife? From the acclaimed author of the Chaos Walking trilogy and A Monster Calls comes one of the most provocative teen novels of our time.
