Entracing Tales For Witchy Bookworms 🔮

Last Tuesday we had a free blast of romance reads, and this weekend we've got a similar event for lovers of witch-themed books. Whether you enjoy good witches, bad witches, or those who tread the line of gray magic, you're sure to find a couple new stories to occupy your imagination this weekend.

AI Art: Friend Or Foe?
Ohhhhhh boy I'm actually opening the AI art subject today. 😬 If you're active on social media, you've probably noticed that the combination of AI and art has struck a nerve. Some people are enthusiastic about the options AI offers to creatives who wish to visualize a character or a scene. Other people believe AI + art crosses a line because it takes work away from human artists who draw by hand, whether on paper or on screen.
No matter how you look at it, AI art is here, and I doubt it's going anywhere since technological advancements don't (usually) regress. As an indie author, it doesn't seem ethical for me to use AI to create cover art for any of my books, although some cover artists may include AI in their processes. Other authors may interpret the situation otherwise, which is fine since every person is unique. But I'll continue to pay human artists to create the cover artwork for my novels and novellas, like I've done since the start of my indie author venture.
But I'll admit to using the currently free Bing AI tool to visualize some of my favorite Teuton couples. 😬 If that makes you angry, that's your prerogative. I have no intentions of selling any of the AI art I've created...after all, most of it has extra fingers. 🤣 But as someone who has (and still does!) downloaded many, many photos that remind me of my characters, I've found it inspiring to collect renderings of my characters for my own personal pleasure.
