✨ Just 99 Pennies For One More Day ✨
May 30, 2025 3:31 pm
We've made it to the end of another weird week, and if you haven't gotten a chance to grab Claimed by the Undead yet, now's the time to do it. At midnight on Saturday, I'll be sneaking into my dashboards for each major retailer and knocking the eBook price up to where it should be. So if you're a deal hunter like me, snag it now and start reading whenever you're ready!
If you're financially secure and would rather buy the eBook at full price, next week is your moment! (Or if you're related to me and want me to believe this indie author thing is an actual 'career,' you can buy starting on Sunday. Yep, I'm talking to you, Daddy. And my husband. 😝)
Gift of Light, the Beauty and the Beast-inspired novella that introduces Helena and Konstantin, is also 99¢ for just one more day. So if you haven't picked up the quick tale that includes their 'meet cute' and first kiss, get it today!
Update for Paperback Readers 📚
Exciting news for paperback lovers—Claimed by the Undead is officially formatted and hyphenated. Just finished last night. 🥳 So now all we have to do is wait for my awesome cover artist to get the paperback artwork ready, and then you can finally have a hard copy of Helena and Konstantin's story.
I'm thinking about running a pre-order on my shop for signed paperbacks. If that's something you'd be interested in (or not), let me know by clicking whichever button below applies to you!
I'm in the US and I'd LOVE to buy a signed paperback of Claimed by the Undead!
I'm not in the US and I realize signed copies tend to include utterly ridiculous shipping fees. But I'm still interested anyway!
Not really in the market for signed paperbacks right now, but thanks for the offer!
Now that you've clicked one of those buttons and ended up opening a new tab to one of C.L. Carhart's bookish links 😉, how about we find out what else is happening in the indie author world today?
Get That Book: 1 Day Event
One of my fellow authors is running the Get That Book event today, which showcases a hefty batch of new releases, sales, and freebies in a variety of romance subgenres. Claimed by the Undead can be found there among its peers, and I see at least one book that I need to add to my TBR. Check it out!
If you want to browse the May BookFunnel events one last time, here are all the graphics with associated links. Plus a reminder about C.L. Cannon's romantasy giveaway that lasts until the end of June.
Other Books You Might Like
Today's the last day I'll be sharing 4 other indie reads with you, since the big push surrounding Claimed by the Undead's release is nearly over. Once June starts, I'll be sharing the usual 2 books, but for today we've got 4 to capture your muses. Dark elves lurking at a magical academy, a feline shifter haunted by her ex, fated mates connecting at a fancy ball, and a story steeped in rock music and the eternal quandary of whether or not it's wise to mix work with romance. Each book is available on multiple retailers, so take a look!
Mischief, danger, and love threaten to shatter their fragile truce.
Out from under her father’s rule, Gio plans to make her mark at The Arcarean Academy. Outcast by the fae community for centuries, this is a chance for the dark elves to show their worth. If only they weren’t being sabotaged at every turn. And she can keep her attention focused on the mission rather than the pretentious silver elf that has caught her eye.
Despite his desire to have the dark elves expelled from their academy, Thorf wouldn’t purposely undermine the recent accords. That doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy all the hellfire aimed their way. Until his people get caught in the storm. As the prince, it’s his sworn duty to ensure their safety. Even if it means working with a snarky dark elf who has a way of getting under his skin.
Together, Thorf and Gio must get control of their growing attraction and thwart the sinister force threatening the academy’s new integration initiative before everything slips through their fingers.
Betrayed by love.
I was a fool in love once—until I learned he only wanted me for my power. I left him and found love with someone else. He retaliated by ripping out her heart.
Driven by revenge.
Every year my warlock ex-lover leaves me a bloody heart as a gift. A taunt and a reminder that I belong to him. But he’s forgotten that I’m the ruthless feline shifter that was hunting down my enemies long before we crossed paths. Sooner or later, it’ll be his heart I’m holding in my hand.
Damned by magic.
But to destroy the warlock who has haunted my dreams once and for all, I might have to embrace the dark magic I’ve been hiding my entire life. And even if I survive... it will change the course of my life forever.
Those who see my face turn away in horror, and that’s how I prefer it... Until her.
My Omega ward is not scared away.
Not by my scars.
Not by my anger.
Not by my… desires.
Her beguiling innocence draws me in, no matter how I fight the pull.
With every soft sigh and pleading look, she cracks the exterior I spent years crafting.
And under that exterior is a monster.
Matthew's life hits a high note when his band, DarkHeaven, gets signed by SMD Studios—fame is on the horizon, and it's time for celebration. Amidst the euphoria, a bewitching blonde captures his attention, leading to a night that seems to wish wasn't so fleeting.
Angel, nursing a tender heart, seeks solace in the enchanting corners of Europe, hoping to mend her spirits. A chance encounter with Matthew ignites a spark she's all too familiar with.
Destiny, with its twisted sense of humor, throws them together again when Angel finds DarkHeaven—and Matthew—in her music company. With her last foray into love leaving scars, Angel stands at a crossroads. Should she blend her work with a walk on the wild side of love once more? Can she afford to take that leap with Matthew, or will it lead to another heartbreak?
That's about all I've got from my end, but how about I drop a waterfall photo before I leave you for the weekend? This is Big Laurel Falls, one of several waterfalls my husband and I visited during our brief vacation at the end of April. Lovely and remote, you can find it along a relatively short trail not far from US 64 in western North Carolina. Definitely recommended!
Have you gone on any refreshing hikes lately? How about a camping trip? Got any beautiful waterfalls in your area? Send me a reply and let me know! I always love admiring nature's artistic qualities. They regularly inspire my stories. In case you didn't notice. 😉 Might be one reason many of my Teuton stories are set in the Alps and not in the city.
Have yourself a wonderfully weird week, and don't forget to grab your copies of Claimed by the Undead and Gift of Light before the price goes up on Sunday.
Talk to you soon,
