Lunar Rising's Out. What's Next? 💦

We made it through release week for Lunar Rising without turning into a pumpkin. 🎃 Now maybe I can finally talk about everyday weirdness with you, instead of sounding like a broken record: "Please get the anthology! Please get the anthology! Please get the anthologeeeeeee . . . ." 🤯
So what can you expect from my newsletters now that the anthology rush has ended? Well, since you're on my official VIP list, you'll be getting early peeks at my current writing projects, along with some insider insight into the business side of the indie author world. Lunar Rising Stats
Curious about how many copies of Lunar Rising sold during release week? My fellow authors inform me that we could have done much better. But as a weird indie who generally sells a mere handful of copies whenever she releases a new book (yep, that's why I'm broke), I can't complain. At all.
Readers bought just under 1500 copies of Lunar Rising. 🎉
Now the anthology is sitting at its final price of $3.99 in an attempt to earn back the money each of us spent on our collaboration. If you happen to be RICH—yes, I know some of you are, and no, I don't hate you; I want to join you 😜—this is your moment to get Lunar Rising either for yourself or for someone you know who loves steamy paranormal romance. We need to sell only 100 more copies at full price in order to cover expenses, so now's your time to shine!
I'd also like to offer a giant scoop of gratitude to all of my ARC readers. Ilsa & Horst's love story, Gift of Air, has already earned 20 reviews since Lunar Rising came out! That's over twice as many as I got for each book in my finished series, and it really stokes my creative fires while I delve into my next projects.

What's C.L. Carhart Up To Now?
If you've been hanging out on my newsletter for a while, you might remember that I've dropped a hint or two about a brand new series in the works. If you read my first series, His Name Was Augustin, then you're familiar with my Teutonic fantasy realm. A secret magical community living alongside regular humans in southern Germany and Austria. Sorcerers who wield elemental magic along with odd blood stuff and the gift of sneaking around in spirit form.
In Gift of Air, we met Ilsa and Horst—an airy witch and a fiery priest who fall in love amid family and religious drama. You might recall that Gift of Air is the prequel to my next series, titled Elemental Bloodlines. During the past month or so, I've been outlining & writing Book 1, which is shaping up to be a spicy romantic tale. Enemies-to-lovers and workplace romance? Coming your way!
Did I mention that I just got the official cover art for Book 1 of Elemental Bloodlines? No? How about a sneak peek?
I know, I know, that was mean. Doesn't give much away except for a tiny glimpse of fire. After all, what Teuton tale would be complete without fire? 🔥
Fun Photo
Today's photo is one I took during a drive in the North Carolina mountains last autumn. Not sure whether I'll get the opportunity to enjoy the colorful splendor of dying leaves this year. Got too much writing to do, and my husband's been tackling some home improvement projects. Last week I helped him replace a vent on our roof, in hopes it'll plug a leak we've got. Fingers crossed!
