Sending a super quick (we hope) email this afternoon/evening/morning/whatever it is in your neck of the woods. 🌳 It's one last reminder about the bookish events happening in the month of July. If it's already August where you are, then hang tight for what's coming up next.

First off, in my last email I gave you a quick introduction to Itch.io, a retailer that primarily focuses on selling indie games. In recent years indie authors have pitched their tents there too, and I've just joined their camp.

Today is the last chance you've got to check out the Disability Pride Bundle that's happening right now. 20 books in a variety of genres for only $30. Most of the books might be by new-to-you authors, but one of mine is hanging out there too in case you haven't nabbed it yet. Click the graphic to browse the bundle:

Judging by the cover arts, it looks like the bundle includes fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and maybe a slight touch of erotica. 😉 Something to scratch every itch!

If you're curious about how these bundles work on Itch, here's a sneak peek at the breakdown of how the earnings are divided up between each author who participates. As of this morning, my fellow authors and I have sold 25 bundles, and I'll be seeing about $28 from those sales. 🤩

As an indie author used to collaborating with my peers through freebie events and 99¢ sales, the idea of earning $28 from a book bundle is freaking awesome! Even if this particular bundle is out of your price range OR the books involved don't look like your cup of tea, feel free to mention it to other readers or share on socials. Honestly feel free to do that with anything I happen to share! Without you, every book I publish would languish in obscurity.

Peek at the bundle here before it ends in a few hours:

Other Books You Might Like

Rather stick with tried-and-true fantasy and romance by authors you know? I've got two books that might grab your interest today. One is available on all retailers and stars a lady down on her luck...who ends up meeting a siren. 👀 The other is a gothic novella involving a creepy mansion and an owner who might be a little more than human...this one's free with newsletter signup.

A woman who’s lost everything. A demon without a care. And a chance encounter that sparks an unwanted passion.

Lena Sommer can’t win. Her marriage is a failure. The yoga studio she founded no longer needs her. And she just lost her grandma, the only family she’s ever known. Alone, grieving, and determined not to repeat the mistakes of her past, she tries to ignore the advances of a rakish singer she meets on the beach. But his carefree nature is infectious, and his mesmerizing voice proves too seductive to resist.

Elias Georgiou has it all—a loving family, the endless ocean, and, most importantly, his independence. Constrained by nothing but the pursuit of pleasure, the last thing he’s interested in is a relationship with any of the countless admirers he charms with his song. Until he meets Lena, and a future with the resilient and courageous woman becomes more tempting than freedom.

Can Lena learn to trust herself and Elias in the face of past betrayal? Or will the enchanted song of a consummate bachelor ruin all hope for a future filled with love?

In The Cold and Quiet is a Victorian gothic romance novelette for readers who enjoy a little spice with their supernatural horror.

A confirmed spinster at nine and twenty, Memory Bane has never been told she is “too young.” But that’s exactly what Ethan Martens says when she arrives at his house for a new job. This unreasonable man wants to send her home immediately, but when a terrible snowstorm prevents her departure, Memory sees a chance to prove herself – and prove him wrong.

Yet just as she hopes to change his mind, Ethan changes hers, too. As the storm rages on, Memory glimpses a softer, irresistibly attractive side of her would-be employer. She finds herself wanting to stay for more than just a job.

But the servants’ gossip gives her pause. Young women tend to disappear from this house, under mysterious circumstances. The cook says it’s fairies. The butler says ghosts. When Ethan’s cold mood returns out of the blue, Memory can’t help but wonder if they’ve all got it wrong.

Is it really fairies stealing women away – or the man who is stealing her heart?

Just in case you haven't browsed the two BookFunnel events I've shared a couple times this month, I've linked them again below. You've got another day and a half to hunt the diamonds in the rough lurking therein.
