One Last Peek Into June's Garden 🌻
Jun 30, 2025 4:31 pm
By the time this newsletter spirals into your inbox, you might have already entered the month of July. But for those of us in the 'delayed' times zones of the earth, today's our last chance to peer into a handful of book fairs preparing to sail off into that sunset called Summer (or Winter if you're down under!).

Now that we've made our way through all the bookish events lingering for the final day in June, how about we switch gears toward the Teutonic Fantasy Realm and the elemental witches who live therein. âš¡
This Author Wants YOUR Opinion
Sometimes I feel like all I do is ask you (and all my other readers) for opinions. Because as much as I'd like to imagine everyone in this world thinks exactly like I do (😱), I'm well aware we're all unique. And that means even though I'm barreling forward on a long, dark, adventurous saga sprinkled with glimpses of hope and madly loyal romance...maybe your reading tastes lean elsewhere.
So here's my question.
Are you EXCITED that I'm returning to my 'author roots' and crafting a long saga (of at least 6 books) that follows the same 2 main characters as they defy an evil demon lord in an attempt to unite their destinies?
Or do you wish I'd write some more shorter, simpler fantasy romances where each book ends on a guaranteed happily-ever-after (HEA), like the Elemental Bloodlines series and the Elemental Gifts series?
Please click whichever button echoes your opinions on the matter.
Keep writing dark, complex romantasy. I'm ALL IN for the long haul with Helena and Konstantin!
Please write some more paranormal/fantasy romances in the Teutonic world, because I need more HEAs!
Either way, I'll be writing more of both types of stories as the years roll onward, because I'm certainly all in with Helena and Konstantin. 💪 But there are a lot more side characters from Elemental Bloodlines who are waiting for me to write out their personal love stories.
In the Elemental Gifts novella series, we've already joined Sylvia as she solidifies her longstanding romance with Siegfried. And we've entered the Teutonic brothel with Gisela, where she falls into an unexpected romance with Radomir and his priestly partner Gustav.
If you need some HEAs this season, the two novellas above will give you exactly that. Be sure to let me know what you enjoy about either (or both) of the Elemental Gifts novellas!
And if you've got some ideas of other side characters whose stories I ought to add to that series, send me a reply and tell me who. 💖
Other Books You Might Like
I dug up two free indie books for you this week, and hopefully at least one of them will snatch your interest! We've got a lighthearted mythology romance by Laura Greenwood and a dark billionaire romance by Summer Cooper. Check them out, and support my author peers today.
Picture perfect is just how Aphrodite likes it, but what happens when someone unlocks the fun goddess inside?
Aphrodite knows just how she likes things: perfect. Whether it's for her business, her outfit, or her non-existent dating life, she likes things just so.
The last thing Damien expected was to find himself working alongside one of the most famous goddesses in the world, or that he'd find her so human.
The more time the two of them spend together, the more they fall for each other. Can the golden goddess of Greek mythology give in to love?
Beauty queen. Prom queen. Head cheerleader. Footballer’s wife.
Keily followed the plan—a winning formula crafted by her mother.
But she failed, ending up divorced, homeless, and jobless.
Just when it seemed her life couldn’t sink any lower…
A job landed on her doorstep—working for a gorgeous billionaire.
She hoped to charm her way into the billionaire’s heart.
But soon, she realized that her sexy boss was hell-bent on punishing her.
The billionaire was determined to make her suffer and surrender to his every twisted demand.
Keily had to choose: leave and return to being homeless with nothing, or stay, endure, and smile at her billionaire boss like the queen she was born to be.
That's about all from my neck of the woods, because 4th of July weekend is fast approaching, and you know what that means. If you're in the US, you're likely about to spend time with family, watch or shoot off some fireworks, munch food cooked on the grill, husk some corn, and spit out some watermelon seeds.
And if you're C.L. Carhart and her husband, you're about to scurry away into the Southern Nantahala Wilderness for a brief camping adventure complete with waterfalls and massive elevation change. 🌳🌲⛺🤩
I'll be sending off one more email later on this week involving some more bookish goodies, but for now I wish you a weird and wonderful week, whether you've got a holiday coming up or not. (And don't forget to respond to my poll about what kind of Teutonic witchy stories you want to see from me!)
Talk to you soon,
C.L. Carhart
