Lesson Learned: I Need To Do Pre-Orders 😬

Because if I don't have a public deadline screaming at me from 7 different places, I tend to get bogged down in that exhilarating process called "learning new info" while avoiding the creative journey we all need to take.
Is it weird that my worst addiction involves scouring all corners of the internet (and actual books!) in an endless quest to absorb new-to-me information?
Yeah, I might not have mentioned I earned a degree in history long ago.
That should have been a sign, right? 😏

That being said, yes, Gift of Wind is on its way into the world even though my fight against procrastination has kicked my butt during this particular cycle in the Elemental Bloodlines series. At this very moment, I've got somewhere between 5 and 7 chapters left to write & polish, depending on how the plot unfolds. And whaddya know, there's only 15 days left in the month of November. 😬

As you may have noticed in my previous newsletters, you can reserve your copy of Gift of Wind early if you snag the eBook from my shop. As of right now, that's still the only place you can get Skye & Karl's wild romantic adventure EARLY. If the creeks don't rise, it should be officially there by November 24th.
Which happens to be Black Friday in the U.S. And you know what that means. Sellers flinging discounted products at you from here, there, and everywhere!
(Yep, I might have a bookish discount of my own up my sleeve. But that's a secret for now. 🤫)
Gift of Wind will arrive in my shop in all its eBook glory by Friday, November 24th. It might even hit my shop a little earlier than that. As for the retailers?
I'm going to toss Gift of Wind onto all the usual storefronts—Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Nook, Kobo, Smashwords, and a giant variety of library apps like Libby, Hoopla, Odilo, and Biblioteca—during that wild weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The hope is that everyone who prefers to buy from a retailer will be able to add Gift of Wind to their eBook collection no later than November 30th.
But who knows just how long the cyber gremlins will scurry around behind the scenes slowing things down? 🤖 (I say that because I know it takes literal months for eBooks to show up on Hoopla. Don't ask me why.)
