Romcoms everywhere! And a grumpy fall pumpkin.
Oct 22, 2021 8:18 pm
Hello and happy fall Friday!
I 1000% hang on to summer until mid October 😬 but even I have to admit fall is here now since I have pumpkins sitting on my porch, my feet are popsicles, and the leaves are falling.
So happy fall. (Said in a monotone voice. 😐)
Pssst. but the good news is that Christmas is right around the corner. 🎄
Quick news:
Audiobook winners have been emailed!
Mr. H.O.A. is still free!
Writing update: Jordan Boone's story (Tuesdays Like That) is in the works. (It's hilarious, I love it, and I can't wait for you guys to get to know Mimi Boone more because she plays a key part in Jordan's story.) My other secret project (we'll just call it LIP for now...) is coming along so much faster than I thought it would. Simply because I'm writing it by hand, I thought this would be a very slow process. Not true! It's flying by, and I feel like, dang...both these stories are going to be finished way ahead of schedule...what am I going to do?
Bad news: have I ever mentioned I hate sharing bad news? Well, I do.
The bad news is this: If you preordered Vacations Like This on Amazon, BEFORE I moved the release date to January 4....you've lost that preorder. It no longer exists. Don't worry! Amazon did NOT charge you for it...It simply disappeared. It's available for preorder again so if you're still wanting it to show up on your kindle the second it releases, then you'll have to hit the preorder button again. Basically a repreorder. (That's definitely a word...maybe. Well it is now.)
I'm so excited for you guys to get your hands on this one after the holidays! It's been so. much. fun.
Should I give you a little sneak peek in the next newsletter?
Lots of love and awkward hugs,
Carina Taylor
FUN THINGS TODAY!!
Jennifer Peel has a new release today! And it looks so great. I can't wait to get my hands on it to read it. 😍 Jennifer says that she wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters when she finished writing this story, because she loved them so much.
(pssst, wouldn't it be amazing if this was turned into a movie?? 😉)
It's available on Amazon AND kindle unlimited for free!
Once upon a time people called me the holiday queen. But catching my husband under the Christmas tree with another woman kind of did something to me. Like make me digitally crop him out of all our wedding photos and post them online. Who knew that post would go viral? Thanks to all the requests I received to do the same for other jilted partners, I started a new business called, the Holiday Ex-Files. And I couldn’t be happier. Well . . . at least I’m not unhappy.
Then along comes my ex-husband’s best friend, Noah Cullen. Yep, like the vampires. He’s extremely gorgeous like them too. He has a plan to help me believe in the magic of holidays again. But the more I’m around him, I begin to think he’s the magical one, and that perhaps I picked the wrong best friend to begin with. Maybe, just maybe, it will be a very merry Christmas after all.
Get ready for a laugh-out-loud, heartwarming holiday rom-com, perfect for any season, by USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Peel.

Aspen Hadley is one of my favorite people. I love her and her sense of humor. I HIGHLY recommend reading her books. AND Just Enough Luck is coming November 9!
Lucy Moore never lost faith in her fairy godmother, and when she lands an unbelievable dream job working for Drake Enterprises, she knows exactly who to thank for the opportunity. That dream job, however, comes with a twist that has her heading to northern Montana for the monthlong annual family retreat at The Lucky Wolf ranch. She packs a suitcase of warm clothes and a fake it 'til you make it attitude, prepared to do all she can to win the family over. Once there she comes face to face with the Drake brothers.
Alexander, Lucy's new boss, is literally a magazine cover model. He's also a numbers geek like her, which makes him dreamy beyond belief, and Lucy can't stop staring. He's too perfect to be real. Daniel is the first person Lucy meets when she arrives at the ranch in the most humiliating way possible. His warmth and humor quickly put her at ease, and she's grateful to have a friend in this unknown, way off the beaten path, frozen part of the country.
In one short month Lucy contends with animal attacks, a temporary roommate who's more robot than human, some ranch-hand flirting sessions, and a little eavesdropping, all while attempting to show her new boss that she can do the job.
When the month ends, and it's time to return home, her story is far from over. Now her heart belongs to the one man who seems perfect for her. Can they overcome all the obstacles in their way?
