sharpen YOUR AXE.

If I only had an hour to chop down a tree, I would spend the first 45 minutes sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln

^^^

This is one of my favorite quotes of all time.

Why?

Because everyone cheers when results happen.

Yet, how many focus on clapping for the most important part of the process?

The sharpening of the axe.

Your effectiveness in life is determined more so by the sharpness of your "personal axe," then because of anything else.

Sure environment and universal chance play their part.

But how you go about your life in the small moments, every single day, it will determine what your outcomes will be over the long run.

So now the question becomes:

Are you swinging at life with a dull axe?

Going nowhere fast?

Swinging harder and faster isn't what you need right now.

It won't get you to the results any faster.

In fact, you may never get to your intended result because you burn out, hurt yourself, or completely lose yourself by going down the wrong path.

Why do you struggle to spend time slowing down and putting energy towards sharpening yourself?

No matter who reads this, it applies.

Maybe you have a sharp axe at this moment.

Remember though, with every swing, it becomes more dull.

So you must reinvest time into regaining your sharpness.

No matter how many trees (results) in life you have achieved.

Write down 3 ways you can slow down and sharpen your axe over the course of the next 30 days.

Now...

Go get to sharpening.

p.s. today I am grateful for everyone around me who has helped me sharpen my own axe. Your time and energy helping me, it never goes unnoticed.
