Set yourself up for SUCCESS on Sundays
Nov 09, 2020 2:32 am
My brother's wedding is over.
My vacation has wrapped up.
I am no longer on the beach in the sun.
And my head is spinning with what I "have" to do to play catchup.
Have you ever had the feeling of overwhelm hit you after some much needed time off?!?
If you are human, the answer is most definitely yes.
There is an important tip I learned from one of my friends and mentors, Sarah Hernholm when the overwhelm hits....
Switch the "I have to do..." to "I get to do."
You get to go back to your house/home.
You get to go back to a job that allows you to provide for yourself and others.
You get to go back to your community with new memories, new lessons, and a newfound appreciation for life.
YOU GET TO!!!
Perspective is everything. Use this Sunday to set your perspective for the upcoming week. Rather than what do you have to do this week, what do you get to do this week?!?
As for me,
I get to record more podcast episodes.
I get to teach my students at WIT.
I get to show up to our Tuesday morning track run.
I get to work with my amazing clients, friends, and community members.
I get to.
Today I skipped my morning email to spend time with my family. One thing I got to do was walk with beach with my wife and my mom. Something so simple brings me an extreme amount of joy. And I never forget to be grateful for the things I get to do.
Much of the reason I get to do those things though, is because I use Sundays as a way to set myself up to crush the week and earn freedom in my life. So I setup at the Airport, hammer out some work, and always keep it moving!
What do you get to do this week?!?!? I'd love to know!

ps: today I am grateful for the time I got to spend the last 4 days. I am coming back to the ATX fired up to continue to push my limits, and help others do the same.
