The one above by Mike Tyson I feel best represents 2020. We all got blindly punched in the face.

I'm a Philly guy. Both sides of my family were born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. So this Tyson quote immediately made me think of the famous Sylvester Stallone quote from ROCKY.

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward."

2020 punched YOU. Are you going to hit back? Now that you are in the ring, and know what you are up against, are you going to stay down? Or are you going to stand up and go make things happen?

2020 punched the F*ck out of a lot of my dreams. I spent a ton of time and money building a community office space that I never got to use for its intended purpose. Many days it sits there empty burning a whole in my wallet. You best believe though, that when the time is right, it is going to be a THRIVING spot. (Summer 2021 I am eying you hard!)

I'm one of the biggest optimists you'll ever meet. So in the beginning of all of this, I asked the universe "what does all of this mean to my own personal journey?!?" Ultimately, it lead me to start new projects, meet new people, and build new communities I never would have done if I didn't get punched in the face this year.

I'm telling you this because LIFE WILL CONTINUE TO PUNCH YOU if you let it. Nobody is stopping you from punching right back though...except yourself.

So in 2021, THROW SOME PUNCHES! GO GET AFTER IT!!!
