Swallow the frog.

" Eating the frog means to just do it, otherwise the frog will eat you meaning that you'll end up procrastinating it the whole day. Once that one task is done, the rest of the day will be an easier ride and you will get both momentum and a sense of accomplishment at the beginning of your day." - Google

Another way I like to think of the above, is if you have to eat TWO frogs, eat the biggest one first...because then the second one is easy.

GROSS CJ!!! WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT EATING FROGS?!?!!?

If you truly think I am talking about eating frogs...you missed the point lol.

No matter where you are at in the world right now, or what time of day it is, you probably woke up today thinking you had "things to do, and goals to accomplish."

Yet, do you find yourself procrastinating and putting those things off? Meanwhile you feel a sense of anxiety brewing inside you?

For 24+ years I did this almost every single day.

I put myself second. I did what I thought I "should" do, rather than what I MUST do with my life.

Deep down, I knew the things I loved. I knew the environments that made me feel the best. I knew the types of people I wanted to surround myself with.

Yet, for some reason, I procrastinated on following any of the above.

And then a random chain of events that included Erin's father's death, my grandfather's death, and struggling with my own debilitating illness...

I finally swallowed the biggest frog of my life. PUTTING MYSELF, MY LIFE, AND MY HEALTH FIRST.

No more following others.

No more giving a shit what other people thought about me.

No more doing what I thought I "should" do.

More of blazing my own path.

More of inspiring other people to talk about ideas/goals/dreams more.

More of doing what I MUST do to LIVE the life I always dreamed of living.

Now I am here doing my best to motivate you to do the same thing for yourself.

I want you to eat the frog and put yourself FIRST.

Be selfish to be SELFLESS.

A better you is a better us.

And a better you...it starts with you looking in the mirror and deciding what you MUST do to live the life, and build the legacy that you dream of every day.

Don't believe me? Don't think that anything I am saying here has any merit?

That is fine.

Don't listen to my word.

Watch what I do.

Because I am not going anywhere.

Day in, day out, I will do what I must do.

My mission in life is to get you to do what you must do as well!

I have been stating my slogan for years now...

I am on a journey to help other "mission based people, brands, and businesses...THRIVE.

So what is it that you must do?!?!?

I am really fired up today. The best decision I ever made was to do what "I MUST." It led me to Erin, it led me to building THRIVE ON LIFE, it led me to a life where I feel I can accomplish anything I set my heart and mind to...and it led me to having the ability to help other people do the same. It all means the world to me and I cannot wait to continue on this journey.

Today I am also super GRATEFUL. Yesterday I was posted in Austin Voyage Magazine, another stepping stone on this journey to help others do what they must do to fuel their passions and THRIVE ON LIFE.

In the article I discuss my past, the struggles I have had along the way, and what the future looks like...and I would love if you could give it a quick read and let me know what you think.

Check it out here.

You could just as easily be the person in the article above. I know it!!! You have what it takes!!! But do you believe it?!?! Do you believe in yourself?!? Are you willing to swallow the frog to turn the life you dream of into your reality?!?!!?

The time is now to do so.

You are not alone either!

Lets do it together!

p.s. today I am grateful for the chance to share my story on publications like Voyage Austin. The chance to help others move their own lives forward is what gives me energy. We can go so much further in this life together, and I hope that the article conveyed that.
