At the edge of your comfort...

...is where you will find the magic.
MONDAY MESSAGE
The goodness of life... it doesn't come without the bumps, bruises, and close calls.
Yesterday I went on a hike with my wife and good friends out in Boulder Colorado.
When you first get to Boulder falls, you will see all the tourists hanging out at the first waterfall, which is only a 5 minute walk from the street.
Yet, if you look above that first waterfall, you see a decently hard path ahead that will lead to even more beauty.
To get there though, you have to climb up, hike on thin rocks, repel down ropes, and hop over water.
At the other side of the risk though, is a strength and confidence only a few will ever feel.
Here I am dunking my head in at the top of the water fall. :)
Screenshot from a video from the top of the waterfall. Doesn't look like much here, but it was a hell of a view and moment when you live it.
We could have stopped right here. ^^^
If you know me though, you know that I surround myself with people who love to challenge themselves to get to the next level.
So we continued to climb up the mountain.
And continued to push ourselves as we climbed.
Here is my friend Kyle jumping a huge gap over running water (he's basically superhuman haha)
Each of us had our own challenges during the hike. Some people are tall, some are short. Some are lighter and more agile, others the opposite. This means that we each had to rely on each other at different times to continue to move forward.
Every single one of us helping each other to break past our previous zone of comfort.
With the reward that all of us would leave this day a little bit better than we were before.
And a half day later, I can confirm that is exactly how I feel.
Highlight of the hike was climbing down underneath a waterfall after we hiked over an hour up the mountain.
My ask of you going into this week is to find small ways to break out of your comfort. I want you to feel the magic that happens when you conquer something that was once conquering you.
It can be as small as being the first person to say hello when you see a stranger on the street.
Or as big as asking for a large raise at your current job because you deserve it!
The magic exists at the end of us stepping up and taking action.
SO GO TAKE ACTION, BREAK PAST YOUR COMFORT, AND FIND YOUR MAGIC!!!

p.s. today I am grateful for this past weekend. I am surrounded by so many good humans and I am forever thankful for that.
