Get back on your bike!

My wife and I finally bought bikes yesterday. After years of having to rent them, we now have the space to store them, so we bit the bullet. Here is a picture of us stopped on the I35 bridge in Downtown Austin Texas.

Have you ever looked at something and said "that is too expensive?" Yeah me too. Yet, deep down, you know the thing that you say that to would actually add more VALUE to your life then what the up front price is.

Here are some examples:

-Organic Food

-Massages

-Gym/Studio Memberships

-Vitamins/Supplements

-Regular Bloodwork

Or in my recent case, a bike.

Within minutes of getting back on the bike... I realized this was the best purchase I have made in awhile.

It provides,

  1. Exercise (which is always good).
  2. Vitamin D + all the other good factors of being outside.
  3. Cheap Fun.
  4. New sites + experiences.
  5. Most importantly - time spent with the one I love most.

There are many versions of a "bike" in our lives though. So this Sunday, take some time to reflect and figure out the areas you need to invest in, and get your ass back on that seat.

Reply to this if it hits home with you. Or feel free to tag me on your next bike ride! :)
