Fantasy expectations will KILL your relationship.

Happy Valentine's Day! Go out and show people you love them!

I have a simple message today.

One in which I saw @Yung_Pueblo post about.

Read it in the picture below.

Today is a day where you shower your significant other with love.

But how do you treat that same person during the hard times?!?

If you are anything like me, you will realize that you have a lot of work to do when it comes to improving your attitude towards your significant other when times are tough.

Yet, as this message made me think, maybe you don't have to "fix" yourself or your partner as much as your instincts make you believe.

What if you chose the path of experience?

Of letting yourself just feel emotions without acting on them... and thus you will get better at allowing your partner to do the same?

You are human.

You are meant to have 360 degrees of emotions, thoughts, feelings.

And trying to control all of them will not lead you to the promise land.

Because the very next day you will wake up and something out of your control will happen.

How will you respond to that?

Will you allow yourself and the people you love have that (good or bad) experience? Or will you try to control the narrative?

Some food for thought today before you gorge yourself on some chocolate. :)

Wishing you and everyone you love a blessed day!

p.s. Erin thank you for allowing me to fail in our relationship, all so that I can learn from those failures, and get better at US. I am so grateful for you.
