Stop denying your mistakes.

More people would learn from their mistakes...
If only they weren't so busy denying all of them.
.
.
.
One of the biggest mistakes I have made in my life, was relying on my natural skills, rather than putting in the grunt work to achieve a goal I had wanted since I was a child.
I wanted to become a professional athlete.
And sure I was plenty good at every sport I ever played.
Always one of the top players on my teams.
Yet one thing was always a major hindrance towards me becoming EXCEPTIONAL.
My size and strength.
I was so busy denying that my lack of size bothered me...
That I didn't strength train, or work on my weaknesses enough to become that "exceptional" player.
Then in college when I really put an effort into my size and strength...
It was too little, too late.
Do you have a similar story?
What have you denied yourself?
Whether it is now, or in the past, what mistakes have you made that you can learn from rather than keep denying?
.
.
.
Eventually I stopped denying my mistake.
I chose to learn from it.
And today a lot of my successes in life, love, business, and health...
Can be tied back to the fact that I realized I should never underestimate the importance of working hard at the things that are holding me back.
Today, if I have a problem in my relationship with my wife, I address it immediately.
If I have an unresolved issue in one of the businesses I associate with, I bring it to the table and shine a light on it.
And if I look in the mirror and don't always like what I see or feel, I ask myself why, and write down what must be done for me to learn from the mistakes of my past...
So I can turn them into WINS of the future.
Now it is on you.
RIGHT NOW I want you to think about everything you just read.
How can you learn from the mistakes of your past and create a better present and future for yourself?

p.s. today I am grateful for the 6 miles in the rain I got to run yesterday with Noah and Bray. Having other men in my life who are willing to do the hard work with me, it brings so much fulfillment to my life.
