Improve your Money Mindset.

Feb 01, 2022 2:02 pm

Two days in a row (Sunday, and yesterday) I had 2 different friends mention that they are working to improve their money mindset.

And with both of them, I told them their mindset wasn't their issue.

Their MATH is!

The difference between scarcity and abundant mindsets is a huge topic these days.

Especially in the money world.

Coaches scream from the rooftops of every platform that for you to become more in life, you must have an abundant mindset.

While I believe this to be partially true...

There are a lot of money rich people out there who definitely don't have an abundant mindset on life.

So how did they get money rich?

SYSTEMS, PROCESSES, and MATH!!!!

Here is why I believe what I do.

If you wake up and believe you will make a lot of money, yet you don't know the financial tactics to implement, you will still not accrue longterm wealth.

Why?

Because even if your mindset magically starts to bring you more money... you won't know what to do with it.

So instead of helping people focus on their mindset...

I encourage them to start learning what to do once they make ANY amount of money. Idc whether it is $5 or $5000 ... the systems they use for that money will tell me a lot more about where they are going than what their current "beliefs" are.

Here is an easy example.

Let's say you randomly stumble upon $500

What do you do with it?

Do you spend it all?

Do you save it all?

Or do you do both?

I am an advocate for both.

$100 goes into an investment of your choice (stock/401k/IRA/Crypto/etc.)

$100 goes into an account to prepare for taxes

$100 goes towards your emergency savings fund

$100 goes towards saving up for your house

$100 goes towards SPENDING AND FUN

^^^ this isn't a mindset. This is the principle of diversification.

I am not a financial advisor, so please take this as opinion and personal anecdotes of how I have learned and been mentored by wealthy people.

Instead of a money mindset...

I WANT YOU TO HAVE A CURIOUS MINDSET!!!

I want you to have an honest and vulnerable mindset.

I want you to have a disciplined mindset.

Be curious to learn about how you can improve your financial situation. Go learn from other people, read books, listen to podcasts, take courses.

Be honest and vulnerable with where you are currently at! Don't lie to yourself or others! If you are money poor, it doesn't mean you are a poor or broken person. You just haven't implemented the correct systems yet. YOU CAN CHANGE THIS!

Be disciplined in your approach to lean into your curiosities and hold yourself accountable to implementing the changes you know deep down that you must make.

If you are struggling to grasp this, please reach out. I want you to be confident in your abilities to accrue life changing wealth!

p.s. today I am grateful for breaking my record for monthly podcast downloads in the first month of 2022. The record was broken because people like you decided to listen to the guest's stories that I am blessed to share. For that, I am forever grateful.
