It's not all sunshine and rainbows...

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that! " -Rocky

When is the last time you pointed your finger at someone else and blamed them for something? For your pain, for your suffering, for your unhappiness... you pointed at an external reason?

I don't know about you, but I have done that far too often over the course of my life.

I started to realize something though.

I didn't want to be a coward.

If I was conditioned to be the guy that pointed fingers, well, couldn't I condition myself to be a different way?

The life I live today is a result of pointing the finger at the man in the mirror. Pointing the finger at ME, MYSELF, and I.

And I want to encourage you, and everyone around you, to start living by a similar method.

Because at the end of the day, the only person that needs "fixing" ... is ourselves.

Only you know deep down the fears that you have, what your insecurities are, what makes you sad, angry, depressed, sick...

only you truly know.

Are you willing to point a finger at yourself though? Are you willing to poke your own wounds?

If you are, at the other side, is waiting the person you are meant to become.

A person that is so focused on improving their own life, that the lives of everyone around them also become lifted as well.

How do I know this?

I've lived it here in Austin Texas.

Many of the people here live by this methodology.

And the community continues to get stronger because of it.

Today I ask you to be the beacon for your own community.

IT STARTS WITH ONE.

AND THE ONE COULD BE YOU.

Yet, the question remains...

how hard you can get it and keep moving forward? How much you can take and keep moving forward?

p.s. Today I am grateful for a few things that have been happening behind the scenes in my life. I am not going to speak about them just yet, but I am feeling very grateful for this life, and I am looking forward to continuing to working as hard as I can to bring this feeling to others around me.
