Quicksand is REAL.

Today will be shorter and sweeter than usual. It is Saturday and I feel guilty taking time from you. I'd rather you get outside today, go fill your cup, have some fun, and bring that energy to other people around you!!!

Yesterday I was blessed to record a podcast with my good friend Jevin Koleth ... he absolutely crushed it y'all!

During the conversation he brought up a profound topic that I am still thinking about. It revolved around building a life on a solid foundation, rather than falling into the trap of personal quicksand. Which both he and I believe every human being suffers from.

This truly got my head spinning because I myself have found myself trapped in personal quicksand numerous times. The harder I worked, the faster I tried to go, the more I sank. Yet, if I slowed down, and focused on JUST BEING... I could simply step out of the sand.

I still have not fully fleshed out the convo, as well as the content I want to produce around the topic, but I wanted to get some of these questions over to you today.

If you had to be stuck in quick sand for the rest of your life, what would your life look like?

Meaning, if you had to do the same things over and over and over again (something that is really hard for many of us) what would they be?

What principles would you build around that would allow you to stay steadfast over the course of your life?

These are the questions I am asking myself after the convo. I am realizing I cannot do it all, and be it all, every single day. I cannot allow myself to fall into the trap of the quicksand.

Instead, I must build my life around principles that I am willing to live by and repeat over and over and over again.

And when I live by these principles, when I remain able to just BE, I can simply step out of the quicksand and have the strong foundation that will serve me for a lifetime.

Happy Saturday to you and everyone you spend time with today!

p.s. I am grateful to be able to podcast with guests like Jevin who raise my self-awareness to new levels. The best way to learn is to have conversations with others. So go reach out to the person that you'd love to have a convo with! Shoot your shot! Then no matter what happens, JUST KEEP SHOOTING!
