Unrealistic expectations...

Unrealistic expectations...
DO NOT CREATE UNREALISTIC RESULTS!!!
Let's be real, if you are someone who reads this, you want to succeed at the things you are doing in life.
And because you are the type of person who wants to succeed, and "win," you are most definitely putting high expectations upon yourself.
Yet, there is a difference between "high" expectations and UNREALISTIC expectations.
Such a fine line.
Some could say that half the things we have in today's world (this laptop I am typing on currently) came to life due to someone placing "unrealistic" expectations on themselves and the world around them.
^^^
This is not what I am talking about.
Your ability to manifest, dream, believe in, and produce a greater reality... that is all well and good.
What I am speaking to is you thinking you can be two places at once.
You thinking that you are going to please everyone.
And you beating yourself up because you cannot "do it all," no matter how hard you try.
I am most definitely speaking to myself here with the word "you."
When I look back on my life, the "unrealistic" results I have produced in certain areas of my life...
They have 99% of the time come from the small little habits that I have maintained through discipline.
They have not come from me thinking I had to be some super hero.
Yet, why do I often find myself in the mental trap of thinking I need to place these unrealistic expectations on myself...
When in fact, the results I seek come from the small habits, and choosing to show up and work hard every day?!?!
Why?
Something I am currently working through and thought maybe you could relate.

Anywho...
Happy Wednesday!
Somehow we are now more than half way through October.
Tomorrow I fly out to Los Angeles to do a relay run from LA to San Diego. :)
It will be a mental, physical, and spiritual challenge for me...
One I am looking forward to very much.
So.....
You know I always want to bring others along for the ride.
What can you do the second half of this month to challenge yourself?!?
Go make it happen.

p.s. today I am grateful for my red light device. As the weather starts to cool down, I have noticed how much this product has a positive impact on my mornings and mood. I know it will help with the winter blues when it is dark a lot more.
