Every NO to them, is a YES to you.

Something I have noticed over the years...

Every person that society views as a massive "success" ...

That person said NO what society views as "normal" ...

And it is funny because society wonders how those people ever became so successful.

"Well how did they CJ?"

The answer is simple, yet not easy to follow through with.

In fact, it is just a two letter word.

Probably one of the first words we ever learn as a child.

"NO" you cannot have my toy!!!

LMFAO.

As time goes on though, we are told to share.

And the thing we share the most, OUR TIME.

We give our time away to people and places that don't deserve it.

We sacrifice our dreams because we'd rather fit in.

And then we waste even more time wondering why we don't have the life we truly want.

^^^

Me a decade ago.

What changed?

I started remember how to say NO.

Actually, I added a word to it...

FUCK NO.

:)

I don't care that there might be someone at your meetup who might be "cool" to meet.

I don't care about what you consider might be "fun."

I don't care that I will be viewed as someone who "works too much," or is "too serious," or spends too much time on his health and fitness...

I don't care.

I relentlessly work towards my dreams.

I relentlessly work to become a better version of myself.

And I have a fuck ton of fun doing so.

Because if I don't take myself and my time seriously...

Nobody will.

^^^

Now it is your turn.

Stop letting your job take "unpaid" hours from you. You deserve more. Stand your ground and stand up for your worth.

Stop letting your friends convince you to "hang out" when you don't want to. You have dreams to build, if they can't understand that, they aren't your true friends.

And lastly, stop letting your emotional monkey brain control you. Write your goals down on a large piece of paper. Place that paper somewhere that you will see it every morning. Say NO to everything that isn't on that paper. Take the necessary actions every day to bring the things you wrote on that paper TO LIFE.

Nobody is stopping you, except you.

p.s. I am grateful to everyone who has ever told me NO in my lifetime. You taught me a valuable lesson.
