How to AMPLIFY your life...

What is one good habit you need to add into your life this summer?

What is one bad habit you need to take away?


When I ask you the above ^^^ ... even if you have an answer, it is tough to take away the bad habit, and add in the good one.


ACTION is tough.


Life happens.


You get busy.


And you let your natural tendencies to take over.


So how do you break free?


Do you remember P.E.M.D.A.S. from grade school?


If not ->>> [ The order of operations is a rule that tells the correct sequence of steps for evaluating a math expression. We can remember the order using PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). ]


Okay CJ why are we talking about math here? LOL.


As kids you used acronyms and other methods to remember important rules in math, science, and other topics that you were graded on.


And now it is time for you to create more of those in YOUR ADULT LIFE so that you can hold yourself accountable.


Yet, today's grades, they fall under the categories of


  1. your health
  2. your happiness
  3. your relationships
  4. your passions
  5. your career
  6. ETC


How can you create acronyms, questions, and themes for the above categories that will help you improve your life?!?


A great example, is yesterday, I wrote about how "your presence today, will determine your success tomorrow." I use quotes to remind myself and hold myself accountable to how I want to live.


I also use questions to keep me in line.


EXAMPLE:


Anytime I get asked to do something, or in any given moment I have a choice to make, I ask myself "will this AMPLIFY my life? Or will it do the opposite?"


If the answer is no, I DON'T DO IT.


This helps soooooo much with introducing new habits that might be hard, as well as getting rid of habits that are holding me back.


Specific examples would be introducing running back into my life, as well as cutting out drinking alcohol and smoking weed.


Running, if practiced consistently, it AMPLIFIES my life.

Drinking/smoking, if practiced consistently, they do the opposite of amplification.


Crazy enough, I have had only 7 drinks total this year, and I can count on one hand the amount of days I have smoked weed. On the other hand, I have ran hundreds of times over the past year.


AMPLIFICATION IS IN PROGRESS. :)


So, again, what can you add into your life, and what can you get rid of this week that will immediately boost yourself into an amplified state of living?!?!!?

p.s. today I am grateful to see another one of these. The little things like watching the sunrise...they are truly the big things.
