The fear of striking out...

Happy Thanksgiving week!
Yes I said week because the majority of people are traveling to family right now, or are making a lot of plans with friends to find time to spend together.
This year I am looking forward to this week for 3 reasons...
- Erin and I have our own little turkey who will make an appearance about 5 months from now :)
- My parents are in town.
- Erin and I have worked extremely hard over the years to build a space that is comfortable for friends and family to stay with us and enjoy their time in Austin. This is the first time we get to use the space for what we dreamed it to be utilized for.

I don't know about you, but I believe in little signs from the universe.
My parents stopped in Waco yesterday and bought the gift in the picture above for Erin and I to put in our garage gym.
I consider this to be one of those universal signs!
The reasons I stated for looking forward to this week all have occurred because Erin and I would rather "swing" (take risks) and give life our best shot, rather than allow the fear of striking out (failing) to stop us from trying in the first place.
This little sign is a reminder for us to keep the same attitude and decision making that got us to this point.
And now it is a reminder for you to consider adopting a similar mindset.
So....
Going into Thanksgiving I have a question for you...
What would it look like in your life to "swing" your own bat right now, so that in the future, you can look back and say you were thankful you made the choice to swing.

p.s. today I am grateful that my parents made it to ATX safe and sound and that I will be able to show them more of the city I love.
