Celebrate your wins...

...even the little ones.
If you are reading this living in America you know that we live in a culture of instant gratification.
And a by-product of this, is even when you get the thing that you want, it typically is never enough for you to remain "happy" about it for longer than a day or two.
Because once you get the "thing" ... you begin to think about what the next "thing" will be.
I know you cannot tell me with a straight face that ^^^ this has never been you?
It's been all of us at some point.

This topic has been one of the major areas within myself that I have worked to re-condition.
What has helped the most?!?
Reflecting and realizing that I don't have to wait to get the "thing" to celebrate what most people would call "every day life."
You don't need to get the A to celebrate.
You don't need to get the new / high paying job to celebrate.
You don't need to break some Guinness world record to celebrate.
You can... in this very moment.... turn on some of your favorite music and dance around CELEBRATING the fact that you are alive.
You can invite people over to your house and celebrate the fact that you have amazing human beings around you.
You can call up your lifelong friends today and thank them for being by your side for multiple decades.
You can celebrate the fact that you have the capability to even read this...
13% of the world still cannot read.
What happens when you start celebrating the "smaller" things that life has to offer?
You begin to realize that the good feeling that "celebration" provides, it is something that you can feel EVERY SINGLE DAY that you wake up.
Think about it...
How great of a vibe would it be if all of us were walking around celebrating the fact that we even get to be alive?
Would there be less arguing?
Less fighting over trivial things?
Reduced amount of anxiety and depression?
I can only ponder about this and make the assumption that YES our world would be a more happy and healthy place if people chose to celebrate LIFE.
And I am hoping to have you not only join me in making this assumption, but making it come true for yourself and those around you!

p.s. today I am grateful I get to celebrate every single day of my life.
