Just. Keep. Going.

320+ emails written, started with about 125 subscribers, now at 90.
131 podcast episodes, just broke the 1k per month download mark.
6 years on social media, thousands of posts, still don't have a "large" follower count.
Countless other things I have worked on that did not become what they were intended to become.
I will keep going regardless of the stats and the outcomes because I know it will force me to become a better person every single day.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I guarantee that everyone who is reading this.... is thinking about, or has thought about starting something new.
A new idea.
A new project.
A new side hustle.
A new business.
A new job.
A new career.
A new relationship.
Starting is easy.
Yet, will you keep going even when it gets tough?
Will you keep going even when the results aren't exactly what you are looking for?
Can you have the discipline and resilience to keep showing up and believing in yourself without needing the approval and validation from others?
If the answer is no, don't even start. Don't waste your energy.
Instead, place your energy in the right place. Work on your mindset and resilience first. Surround yourself with others who showcase those attributes. Hire a coach that will hold you accountable towards taking action down the path of becoming a more resilient you.
When I reflect on my own life, sports were the differentiating factor that taught me to JUST KEEP GOING.
A bad season had just as many lessons as a great one. A bad game forced growth from the team, or else we would lose the next one. And nobody wanted to lose.
The key realization right now though, is the real game is... LIFE.
And the lessons are everywhere.
You just have to keep going in the direction of learning from them.
And just like in sports, life is all about how you can overcome the obstacles in your way. Because the one thing that is guaranteed... obstacles are one hundred percent going to come into your way.
So what's it going to be?
Will you keep going and finish what you started this year?
Or will it be another year being stagnant? Or another year of starting something, but giving up once it doesn't go exactly as you had planned?
I hope you make the first choice. :)

p.s. today I am grateful for the lessons that sports have taught me over the years. So many of them apply to my daily life.
