5 minute challenge.

I woke up overwhelmed today.
It doesn't happen much, but when it does, I feel the analysis paralysis that many people feel on a daily basis.
What do I believe the difference between most people and myself is?
I am a freakin nerd and have built systems into my life that help me overcome obstacles that stand within my way.
Like this email for instance.
I have been up working since 7am today, and much of my day is booked for things I want to get done before I fly to Colorado on Sunday.
So I feel overwhelmed because what I would really love to do is spend an hour writing a valuable message to you. These morning messages mean a lot to my life.
Yet what I realized is something that could be extremely valuable doesn't need to take a lot of time.
In fact, when you put yourself under a shorter time crunch, some of your best work may happen.
Now I do not believe that this message is my "best work" by any means.
But it is one of my best and most valuable lessons that I have to teach.
- Set a timer.
- Put your head down and get to work.
- When the timer is up, you are now done. Move to the next thing. No overthinking!
I set a 5 minute timer...
I am at 4:28 right now.
Today, set a timer for yourself for those things that seem overwhelming.
Put your head down and get to work.
It will help!

5 minutes exact.
p.s. today I am grateful for the people I get to meet everyday. Austin has been a hotspot to meet amazing people and I am forever grateful for that. Today I hope to meet more of them at the Ketocon event I will be attending this afternoon.
