Hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life.

One of the most difficult choices you make every day as an adult is where do you invest your time, energy, and money.
In a world filled with exponentially growing noise around, this choice gets tougher every year.
The reality is, you, me, we... are all just monkey's walking around struggling inside our own heads to decipher our thoughts of "I want this, no I want that, but wait I want this for my life...but shouldn't I want that?!?!"
You may struggle with that question, a question we shouldn't even be asking yourself in the first place.
Instead, you should be asking "what do I need right now?"
Have you asked yourself this question recently?
"What do I need?"
Usually what you "need" ends up being in the hard choice column...so you may skip it most of the time.
Here is the thing though...
if you constantly skip what you need, to chase what you want...
you'll continue to have wants for the rest of your life, and never end up with what you truly need.
However, if right now in this very moment you ask yourself "what do I truly need," and you make the hard choice to go after that...
your wants will start to dwindle.
And when you don't want anything out of life, you find PEACE.
Peace is happiness at rest.
So lets find your peace & happiness by reducing your wants!!!
Need a logical example of this though?
I got one.
Lets say you have dreamed of buying that fancy car, or that big house.
The reality of this dream though, is that you don't truly "need" that car or that house.
What you actually need is a mode of transportation and a shelter for yourself to live in.
Why do you "want" the fancy car and large house to begin with?
Probably because you watch TV/social media, have a friend or family member with them, and therefore you decide you must compete with their wants...rather than sitting back and asking yourself if you actually need that for peace and happiness.
Start this week and do an audit of your life and thoughts.
If you've been falling into the "wants" trap...now is a chance to get out.
Start with small choices, gain momentum, and eventually it'll become one of the best habits you have for the rest of your life.
Have a kickass Monday!!!
