🐎 Twelve-year-old Andi Carter loves to ride her palomino filly, Taffy, and help rope calves on the Circle C ranch. When she accepts a challenge from a young ranch hand to see who is better with a lasso, she sets out to prove that she is. Trouble is, Taffy is not her mount today. Soon, Andi finds herself thrown, hurt, and stranded . . . in the middle of the Circle C's vast rangeland.

But first . . . just an update about--not horses--but dairy goats! Babies everywhere, and wouldn't you know it? Many of them (like my two new ones) came during the bitter cold freeze (in Texas) the weekend of January 23-25. I am blessed and thankful that my two precious kids were born at 6 am and not at 2 am (can you imagine?). Even heat lamps and propane blow heaters barely keeps a large pole barn above freezing during the teens. But thanks be to God, no babies died.

Here is my very own dairy goat, Betty Crocker Brownie (Brownie) and her two kids: Sweet Pea (girl) and Raindrop (boy). You can always friend us over at our Moonlit Acres Nubians Facebook Page to keep up with our dairy goats. Fun videos too.

I could not resist showing you our baby goats piled on top of each other under the heat lamp! But wait! One of the cats has decided that she would love to be a baby goat and lie under a heat lamp during the big freeze. 🐈
