Welcome to the first-ever Circle C & Goldtown art contest (June 19 - July 18). You may create your entry in any medium you choose: pencil, pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencils, marking pen, acrylic, chalk, or charcoal. You may enter one of these three categories in one of the two age groups. (Six prizes in all!)
CATEGORIES: Characters, Horses/Animals, or Settings
AGE GROUPS: Ages 8-12 or Ages 13-17
Read all of the rules and how to submit your entry on the Art Contest Page.
Why an Art Contest?
Over the past 10 years, I have hosted too many writing contests to count. But you know what? Not every Circle C or Goldtown fan likes to write. A lot of you like to draw or paint or create with your hands. So, I decided that this summer I would host an art contest. Anyone in those two age groups may enter, even if you have entered writing contests before.
Yep, it's open to all. (If you child is under 8 years old and wants to give the contest a try, that is fine too. Just understand that their work will be judged with the whole group of 8-12 year-olds.)
Here's the key thing to remember. Whatever you create must have something to do with either the Circle C or the Goldtown series. It won't be hard to spark your or your child's imagination. There are oodles of images on Andi's Blog of characters, animals, and settings.
What are the Dates?
The contest launches today, June 19, 2024, and runs through July 18, 2024. That gives young artists a month to draw, paint, and create their art project.
What about Prizes?
Great question! Six prize packages will be awarded to six winners from the different age groups and categories. Your choice of any Circle C or Goldtown audiobook series on USB (yes, that's right. The entire series) . . . plus your choice of four different 16-ounce travel tumblers of either Circle C or Goldtown.
Remember, all the rules, dates, and submission guidelines can be found on the Art Contest page. Just click the button.
Questions? Reply to this email, and I'll get back with you as soon as I can. (But first, read the Art Contest page. I'm confident that most of your questions will be answered there.)
I hope you have a marvelous time creating your artwork!
