I have some exciting news. Many Circle C blog readers have taken advantage of the extra books I've published myself and put up on my website a year ago. I call them my Circle C "Fan Fun Extras," because that's exactly what they are--more books for Andi fans. However, they were only available from my website or from an expensive site, Lulu.com. Now, for the first time ever, I refurbished the covers and published them on Amazon for only $8.99 each, the same price as other Circle C Adventures books. I also put together a new collection of the best of the Circle C fan fiction I have ever read.
These are books that my publisher, Kregel, would probably not take. Why not? Well, keep reading and you will learn the answer to that question.
- Trouble at the Line Shack is my original manuscript, before it morphed into the current book 5, Trouble with Treasure. What's the difference? Plenty! In the original, Andi and her older brother Mitch are alone (whereas I added Cory and Jenny in the final version, in order to give Andi somebody to talk to). Also, the original manuscript has a number of point-of-view switches, which I have learned Circle C fans enjoy very much, like "meanwhile, back at the ranch . . ." Also, I toned down Trouble with Treasure so the bad guy gets knocked out with a frying pan at Jenny's hand. In the original "Line Shack" story, though, Andi has to defend herself and her brother from the very bad outlaw, and she takes drastic action (no spoiler alerts here). All in all, the original manuscript was super fun to write back in the day, and it is different enough from the "Treasure" story that fans will enjoy what was on my mind when I first wrote this tale.
- Terrible Secret is an original, unpublished in any form Circle C Adventure. It is set soon after the events in book six, Price of Truth. Andi witnesses another killing (very different from the plot in Price of Truth), but I believed the main premise (courts, lawyers, etc.) was too similar to book 6 to offer it to Kregel. This book was written years ago, but I got stuck in the middle and set it aside, only finishing it when Andi's Blog readers begged me to write the ending. So I finally finished it. Many fans who have read it say it is their favorite Circle C Adventure of all (go figure).
- Behind the Scenes on the Circle C Ranch is a brand-new collection of the very best Circle C fan fiction that I have ever read.These young writers are super creative, and they know the characters as well as I do. So, I compiled four of the stories I liked best and then added a couple of my own creations. I bet you won't be able to tell the difference! Fans always want to read more about Kate, the missing Carter sibling from Family Secret, and they have also asked how Ellie Coulter (from the Goldtown Adventures) ended up becoming Chad Carter's wife in the Milestones (Courageous Love). I love these stories, and I think you will too. To make these original fan-fiction stories smoother than ever, I have revised, edited, and expanded when necessary.
