Hello!

Can you believe it's that time of year again? Bonfire Night!

In England, we're in our second day of a month-long lockdown, although Wales will probably be celebrating as their lockdown is due to be lifted on Monday.

This means that any remaining firework displays that hadn't been cancelled already have now been snuffed out. (I'll get my coat...)

I've always loved Bonfire Night, so much that I've even written a little blog about it's origins, with some movie recommendations. As I was researching it, I was a little sad to discover that there aren't really enough movies to make it a 'bonfire night' genre, although there are plenty of movies that feature fireworks and London getting blown up.

Check out the blog here for some recommendations on what to watch to get your fill of fireworks.

As we've also now rolled over into November, I should mention the birthstones for November's babies. Unusually, these are often thought to be similar coloured gems; Citrine and Topaz. But is there more to them than meets the eye? Check out the blog here.

Bonfire Night has become more special to me as an adult, as it's Mr Cinebling's birthday, and also our wedding anniversary. Generally, when I tell that to men (I assume married!) they generally react as if he is some kind of genius. I mean, if he forgets our wedding anniversary, it's time for me to worry!

I've had a couple of days away from work this week, although I haven't really been out of the house much, and it has been very strange, like a lot of celebrations probably have this year.

I'm hopeful that it will just be a blip on the radar, and I'm very grateful that I did still get to spend my anniversary with the most important person.

Mr Cinebling is very camera-shy, but I know this is an approved photo, so I'm going to share it.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and have some contact with people you love.

See you next week!

Joy
