Hello!

The weeks are flying by and we're officially into September, schools are back and the nights are drawing in. How apt, then, that the biggest talk in movieland is about Christopher Nolan's time-focussed film, Tenet.

As it's in the trailer, I don't feel that it's a spoiler to say that the movie looks at the idea of time inversion, where time effectively runs backwards. I fancy a bit of that! I still feel like we're in about April, so planning for Halloween and Christmas is going to be a bit of a shock!

You can read my review of Tenet by clicking here.

I also finally managed to see Unhinged, which is a thriller definitely worth a trip to the cinema for. Russell Crowe is a little too convincing as the unhinged protagonist, so it makes for gripping viewing. Like a few films in the thriller/horror genre, it may well have you screaming 'why? No, don't do that!' I find that helps me have less nightmares though - I say 'the first time a cup floats in mid air, I will go stay at Dads'. Sometimes you need a plan B!

Now for the birthstones!

I've been fascinated with birthstones and their significance since I first heard about them, and I wrote a series of blogs about them. You can check out September's birthstone here or read about birthstones and why they're special here. I always think it's such a nice touch to a gift for someone, as it shows you've really taken the time to think about them.

I've wanted to offer birthstones for a long time, but the range of birthstones always presented a problem. My birthstone, for March, is aquamarine, which is a semi-precious gem with a middling price range. Cinebling, however, was born in April. April's birthstone is a diamond, so it gets pretty tricky trying to offer everyone a lovely birthstone and keep the prices in the same universe.

I've now got a solution - Swarovski Elements!

I am working on sourcing natural gems, but for now, I have a full range of Swarovski's sparkling crystals to add to my existing collections. Swarovski have been making the highest quality crystals for 125 years, so they must be doing something right!

You can add them to any necklace or bracelet for just £5.

PS - if you skimmed it - Tenet and Unhinged are definitely worth a trip to the cinema for, and you can now add a Swarovski birthstone to any Cinebling necklace or bracelet.
