Hello Dear Readers!

I hope you are all well. Quick question... do any of you watch K-Dramas? TV shows from Korea? I fell down this rabbit hole about a year ago and haven't even wanted to come up out of it yet. I'm currently watching one called What's Wrong with Secretary Kim on Hulu, and it is a GOOD office romance. Watching it actually inspired me through a tough spot in Love a Lady at Midnight. I have been agonizing over a certain point in the plot, just not able to break through to something that made sense. Then I watched Secretary Kim and BAM. Breakthrough.

What I love most about K-dramas is that they know how to leave a girl hanging. The end of each episode is a cliff hanger that I can just NEVER resist. It's usually the two main characters falling into each other and looking at each other like they want to kiss then END. WHAT? Then I'm clicking fast as lighting to the next episode only to see that THEY DON'T KISS.

My husband told me the other night while I was watching some episodes that there would be no show if they kissed right away. I have to wait for it. Pft. Okay. Fine. I suppose I'll wait.

In other news, I'm working on Book 6 of the Debutante Dares series featuring Xavier The Brute and Sarah the Most Daring Debutante in London. If Xavier and Cass from Teach a Rogue New Tricks could talk to each other, they'd have THINGS TO SAY, mostly about how they just want to be big and mean and dangerous, but how I keep giving them sensitive backstories and good intentions.

Sorry, boys.

Not sorry. 😜

I've done some interesting research on this book from Regency era art galleries, medical dispensaries, and Bristol to... roller coasters. That's right. Roller coasters. Only during the Regency they were called Les Montagnes Russes--The Russian Mountains. The Regency never saw a roller coast in England (as far as I've been able to discover), but there were some in Paris, created by a French inventor who had visited Russia to see the ice tracks they made for sleighs to race down. Good thing the world of Debutante Dares has an inventor. Who most definitely has a French inventor friend happy to send blueprints across the ocean...

Sometime soon, I'll be posting the links from my research for this book to the blog on my website, so keep an eye on it!
