Getting Schooled

Hello, lovely readers!
One thing I expected to write when I first conceived of First Comes Courtship was a love lessons trope. I thought for sure that the well-read Cora would be teaching the inexperienced Liam all she knew as they discovered things together.
But sometimes what we expect is not what happens. And as I wrote Cora and Liam's story, I realized that learning how to love with their bodies wasn't Liam and Cora's greatest conflict. It was loving themselves, trusting themselves, and throwing away all the voices that distracted them from self-love in a very emotional sense.
I felt a little bad at first for abandoning the love lessons trope, but the more I tried to make it fit, the less satisfied I became with the story I was telling.
There will come a day when I use that trope, but it's not this novel, and likely when it happens, it will be when I least expect it.
First Comes Courtship is available now exclusively at the Wolf Publishing store. You can check it out here.

There's another new Curves and Cravats novella out this week! Check out Terri Mackenzie's His Ample Desire!
Do you like to read complete collections and box sets? I love it. So binge-able! And usually such a good deal if you compare it to buying the entire series book by book. Check out this promo for your choice of boxsets!
Don't you just love enemies to lovers? I do. The sparks. The banter. Gah! Here's a collection of books (both in KU and available at a variety of online retailers) feature this beloved trope!
Before I close out this epistle--a bit of news! I'm changing the covers for my London Secrets series. I really love my original covers, and I'm sad to see them go, but it's time for something new. This will happen sometime in the last half of this year, so if you really love the current covers, you might want to grab a paperback, as the covers you see below will be disappearing soon!
P.S. The only way you can get The Secret to Swooning is through me! Just reply to this email if you want a copy. It's a SUPER short story I wrote for a Jane Austen anthology. It features characters from Pride and Prejudice AND characters from London Secrets. It's a good time, and I'd love to send it to you free.
Good luck and happy reading!
Charlie
