Busy Lives Require Book Breaks!

Hello Readers!
Sometimes there’s so much going on, your head is near exploding, yes? Yes. So I am at the moment, so please do forgive me if I’m not overly chatty today. I'm chugging coffee and crossing items off my to-do list.
Today, the box set for London Secrets greets the world! And I’m preparing for the launch of Leave a Widow Wanting More at the end of this month. I’m also writing book 2 of the Debutante Dares series and revising book 1.
But mostly, I’m getting my oldest ready for kindergarten! Whew. That takes a lot of headspace, let me tell you. I’m being a nervous mama, but he’s one excited little dude, so I’m reigning in the nerves to let him shine.
What kinds of things are keeping you guys busy this month?
Book Recs.
As always, I’ve got some great reads for you guys to check out.
Let’s start with Rose Pearson’s box set! I adore that blue color, don’t you? Grab your 5 BOOKS here!
How about this purple beauty by Sydney Jane Bailey! Get it here!

Finally--no, really this time, I promise--some little historical factoids that influenced my writing of Leave a Widow Wanting More!
- There’s a scene in Widow where the Cavendish family picnics next to some old monolithic stones. They are really real! I spent longer than I should have combing through information about old ruins in England in order to figure out where, kinda sorta, I wanted the Cavendish home to be located. Cool connecting point: since Cavendish Hall is close enough to Hill House (where part of Book 1 of London Secrets is set) for Ada to walk between the two, we are returning to a familiar setting geographically speaking.
- I was totally unsure if Egypt and travel therein would be possible during the Regency. I knew nothing before this book about borders, politics, etc, between all these countries post Napoleonic Wars. Now I do! Here’s a blog post about a little bit of what I learned!
- I used to be obsessed with Egyptology and egyptian mythology. Didn’t every kid go through that phase? No? Just me. Ah well, it was a good phase, boosted by my love of The Mummy, Brendan Frasier, and the Amelia Peabody books. And I got to return to that for this book, reading about Egyptian gods and goddesses like Amit.
I hope everyone is safe and has an amazing pile of books to keep them company this month.
Happy reading!
