Winter Weather Drinks

Hello Dear Readers!
So, I was doing some research on mulled wine of all things for a Christmas novella I'm writing that will be out later this year, and while I discovered that mulled wine is ANCIENT, going back to the second century, of more important note is that Regency folks would have sipped on something quite similar to it--negus. Made of wine, hot water, lemon juice, sugar, and nutmeg, you can even find passing reference to this drink in Mansfield Park and Jane Eyre! If you want to know more, you can read more here.
I'll be including it in a Christmas novella of the daring variety that I just finished drafting today.
Let's see... what else do I have for you?
Oh! COVERs. I'm so excited to show you the first three covers of the Art of Love series. My cover designer, Anna Volkin, who did my little "spilling the tea" lady logo (Lady Kat, of course) designed these covers, and it's been so amazing to work with her. When I said I wanted book 3 to be Titian and pre-Raphaelite, she got me. Weeeeeeell... here they are!
These titles are so long, I may have given Anna a heart attack. I'll have to make sure my next series has one word titles (like Amanda Quick's books--sigh, my favorites) to make up for it. 🤣
I've been sharing about the multi-author anthology series I'm part of for a while now, and another of the anthologies just went on pre-order: Gentlemen and Gloves. This one includes six all new stories by six amazing authors.
I have another shared-world series for you! This one is called the Wicked Widows, and I've been talking about it for a while as well. One book in the series releases each week, starting March 21 and every book in the series is currently on pre-order! This is a steamy series but with different levels of steamy scenes depending on the author. I love a good widow in search of hot times story, and here are 17 of them! It's going to be a fun year with these ladies to keep us entertained.
I'm curious... do you guys like mulled wine? I've only tried it once, but loved it and keep telling myself I'm going to make it every time winter rolls around, but do I ever do it? No. Sigh. There's always next year! Or... right now!
Ready to take a look at a new book?
Mary Lancaster's Entangled: The Duel seems to intriguing! Can't wait to dig in.
