Pretending to Have a Mistress to Get Hot Gossip

Hello Dear Readers!

I hope will all the awful weather rocketing around the globe, you are all safe!

I am cozied up on my couch writing this epistle and thinking of all the research that went into my next book release--His Mistress, His Muse, and Other Madness.

First, I wanted to find an art form that the "mistress" and muse in question could be good at. I looked at puzzle jugs (cups with holes in them that you had to solve in order to drink from) and other kinds of pottery, needlework and watercolors. But none of it really felt right to me. But when I considered that maybe that's because the lady in question isn't an artist at all, everything clicked into place. So for book 3 of The Art of Love series, we have a reluctant artist hero who uses his talent to do right in the world and a woman with no artistic talent who is trying to find her own place in the world.

Our hero, Lord Theodore (Theo) is a grumpy political satirist who publishes satirical sketches under the name Sir George. A scandalous artists-only house party brings these two together, and as she pretends to be his mistress, something real begins to simmer.

There's a moat and a fake relationship and plenty of satirical sketches. There's a 🔥 library scene and flirtatious heroine who drives our hero mad. We also get our first glimpse at the couple for book 4--Lord Andrew and Mrs. Dart, his secretary.

I also love that this book will be out on October 2 and it has such an Autumn-toned cover! Because it will be about that time of the year in my neck of the woods.

Also, there is so much going on audio book wise right now. Not only can you find Daring the Duke and A Dare Too Far on all audiobook retailers, but Kiss or Dare is coming soon! Pretty much every day I get some sort of update about the audiobooks in The Debutante Dares series. My head is swimming!

We are now in the back half of the year, and I feel like things are winding down for me (but are they? 🤣). I'm looking forward to slower times with family in the coming months. And to writing another book or two and launching a new series, which I'll introduce to you guys soon!
