The Duke of Clearford Has Met His Match

Dear Readers,

I hope everyone of you had a Valentines Day full of love! Mine certainly has been with the release of Dukes Court for Keeps. It's always so sad to leave a series behind. And since I've started working on what's next it does feel like that!

But there's so many more stories to tell in the Gentleman's Guide world that I can't imagine I'll abandon the Merriweather sisters for good or Samuel's sisters-in-law either. Or Rosalie! And Imogen's story hasn't yet fully come to light, sooooooo....

It's less of a goodbye to these characters and more of a see you later!

But we're still in celebratory mode for the Duke of Clearford's story! Here's a little taste of the vibes from my inspiration Pinterest board:

We've got Emma in the top left and Samuel at the bottom right. His knife in the middle and her embroidery up top. The bottom left picture is inspiration for the first time they meet, at night in a garden, with no idea who the other is. It was a scene I did not expect to write, and once I did write it, their dynamic changed, their personalities, what they needed, became clearer to me. These are two people who regularly carry the world on their backs. They never ask for help. But in each other, the universe had provided an abundance of help. If they'll just accept it.
