Can I Write All the Banter?

Dear Readers,

Quick question, but it's an important one!

Were you gifted books in December? And did you receive one that particularly excited you?

I always get new books. My husband buys me books from Persephone Press, a small publisher based in Bath, England. They put out of print books by women from the late 19th and early 20th centuries back into print in beautiful and elegant covers. My favorite part is that the endpapers are prints from textiles produced the same year the book was originally published! So the covers are all gray and cream and then you open them up and it's a riot of color. Every single book comes with a matching bookmark too, so I'm always a happy camper. 🤣

What about you? Did you get a new book you're excited about?

Also, are you wondering what I'm working on right now? I'll give you a hint.

It's a little novella that's connected to a Christmas novella I published three (three?) years ago. The Christmas novella is titled Three Kisses Till Christmas, and I wrote it for my newsletter folks! Well, John in that book has a half brother, and he needs a happily ever after, and I've been listening to the Much Ado About Nothing soundtrack. You know, the Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh adaptation of the Shakespeare play featuring Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington? It's always been an absolute favorite of mine, and one need look no further than Beatrice and Benedict for good snappy enemies to lovers banter inspiration!
