So sorry for another epistle so soon after the last. If you are tired of me, I understand. Such is life. I hope you are warm and cozy, wherever you are and looking forward to an awesome 2022.

Speaking of history. I've been working on a little novella that won't see the light of day until DECEMBER 2022. Crazy, yeah? In this current iteration of the story, a nice girl (secret wanton) and sheep in wolf's clothing compete to see who can find the perfect Christmas gift for the family matriarch. She lusts. He knits. It's a thing.

Anyway, I've been on the historical hunt for something that would make an excellent and unique Christmas gift that the two might run across on Bond Street three days before Christmas. And in my search, I stumbled into a claim that has to be more myth than truth. Apparently, maybe, possibly, parts of Casanova's footstool was used to make a snuffbox once...? Needless to say, my imagination has run so far away from me, there's no catching up now.

I'm currently working on a post about Regency era coffee for the blog. Did you know the first iteration of the percolator was invented during the Regency? Now you do, and my blog just may tell you more!
