A Diamond for the Summer Season

Hello Dear Readers!
No research shenanigans to share with you today. Though I have been spending my time with information about Regency era jewelry. Hand made! Around the Victorian era, mechanization began to take over the jewelry industry, making pieces more uniform and precise. But there's something about the hand-made pieces that really strike the imagination.
I'll tell you more about this subject later and the characters (Posey and Archer) who are a part of the Regency jewelry world. They're still rather shadowy in my mind, but they are taking shape, as is their road trip, only one bed romance.
😁☺️
Another interesting note on jewelry before I dive into BOOKS: people of the Regency era preferred Paste jewelry (or fake jewelry) as much as the real thing. Fake gemstones made of glass (known as paste) could be manipulated into a larger variety of shapes, so they could offer more creative options! Craftsmen would put foil behind them (and behind real gems because it was a fun thing to do apparently) to create a brilliant sparkle that imitated the real thing.
Do you like jewelry? I like to look, but don't often wear. As an acrobat and circus artist, it's more often in the way.
