Hello, lovely readers!

Sometimes I have to be in the right mood to write. And I have a variety of ways of getting there--music, exercise, reading poetry. But one thing that almost always helps is looking at my Pinterest boards.

I keep a Pinterest board dedicated to each book I write, and it's populated with images that help me feel the mood of the story. It's got the vibes! Here's a collage made up of a few images from my First Comes Courtship Pinterest board:

We've got Liam and Cora, books and dark flowers, coaches and chiaroscuro intimacy. These are the images that become the imagery on the page. For me, Liam and Cora are light and dark, shadows and sun. They alternate between feeling entirely alone to wishing everyone else would just leave already. 🤣 They have to learn to navigate large families and mean families and to say what they want with courage and finality. These opposites must weave a little family of two for themselves, and it was such a pleasure helping them do so.
