December is probably the busiest month for me. My family celebrates Christmas, so that means lots of traveling and shopping and cooking and planning and I'm exhausted just thinking about it! But I've also got a new book coming out this month, too! Binding the Baron is book 1 (officially!) of my Alchemy of Desire series, and it has the super pretty purple cover:

It takes place in an alternate fantasy Victorian world where things are pretty much the same... except there's magic! If you've read my Christmas novella Naughty for Sir Nicholas and my halloween prequel Til Death Duke Us Part, you'll already have a taste of the world. The Ton are the transcendents with the power of glamours and illusion. The working classes are the alchemists with metal magic. And in the cracks of society--women with the power of potions.

When a desperate Miss Diana Chester, granddaughter of a marquess and engaged to marry his heir, procures a love potion from the notorious Lady Guinevere, she hopes it can help her escape her betrothed's unwanted attentions. She'll use it to make him fall madly in love with someone else. Then he'll leave her alone! Solid plan, to be honest. Except it doesn't go like that. She never expected the newly titled Baron Knightly to drink the potion instead, to back her behind a curtain, and to stir a fire in her she's never felt before.
