A Villainous Cinnamon Roll?

Lovely readers!
I hope everyone who gets out and about for Halloween had a safe and fun night. Our neighborhood makes a big deal out of it, and it's quickly become one of my favorite nights of the year, much like when I was a kid.
It was also a fun day because, as you know, I'd just released Til Death Duke Us Part. I've been so pleased and grateful to see readers diving into this fantasy series with me.
I actually credit two folks for Til Death Duke Us Part. The first is Rachel Ann Smith, my writing buddy (and just plain friend. I hope some of you guys have read her books!). When she read Naughty for Sir Nicholas before it was published, she mentioned, off hand, that the Duke of Morington would surely have his own HEA, so I should be careful to put something in him that's redeemable. And I'd... not considered it until she mentioned it. 😂 So I planted some little redeemable seeds but didn't know what his story would be until I learned that gravediggers were often women during the 19th century (they would take over their husband's jobs after they died). I mentioned to my husband that I NEEDED to write a grave digging heroine, and he suggested a grave robber hero. And almost as soon as he said that I remembered Rachel's note about redeeming Morington. It just felt right.
One beta reader (Hi, Gloria!) called Morington a "villainous cinnamon roll" and I love that image so much. It fits him so well. 🤣
Til Death Duke Us Part will be at all retailers for a few more days only! On November 10 it goes into Kindle Unlimited.
