Dear Readers,

Do you want to see some character art that will make you sigh? I haven't been able to stop looking at it, and I think I'm going to have commission more art by this artist, the talented @balangawa.

This is Sir Nicholas Bowen and Miss Jane Dean, the main characters of Naughty for Sir Nicholas, my novella for How The Belle Stole Christmas. Want to know what Naughty is about? Well...

He’s naughty. She’s nice. They could be very merry together.

When Sir Nicholas Bowen breaks into the foundling hospital on Christmas Eve to leave magical gifts for the children, he doesn’t expect to be caught by a deliciously indignant governess. But he is. He certainly doesn’t expect to kiss her. But he does. Thank goodness his mask and his magic hide his identity.

Despite being a penniless governess, Jane Dean knows magic–it’s a kiss in the dark with a masked man she can’t stop thinking about. She’ll have to, though because the hospital is closing, and she has nowhere to go. She needs a husband, and the hospital’s neighbor, Sir Nicholas is an enticing prospect. He’s nice to look at and good with children, and she'll propose marriage… if his kiss makes her forget the one that’s been haunting her.

A second kiss.
A revelation.

The flirtatious alchemist and prim governess find themselves bound together in more ways than one. If Jane and Nico can’t embrace the perfect alchemy of opposites attracting, the orphans will lose their only home, and Jane will have to marry a man of her brother’s choosing.

Before I let you get on with your day, I thought I'd tell you about the novella I just wrote RANDOMLY over the last two weeks. I was telling my husband about a month or two ago that there were a lot of female grave diggers during the 19th century, and that I wanted to write a grave digger hero. To which he suggested I make her a grave robber instead. To which I yelled, bouncing up and down: NO HE'S A GRAVE ROBBER AND THEY FALL IN LOVE.

So yeah, that story got written real quick. 🤣 It's with my alpha reader / critique partner right now, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. But man they were fun to write!

Stay tuned for more details!

Happy reading, everyone!
