Dear Readers,

Only 18 more days until Much Ado About Hating You hits the bookshelves! This book is a LONG time coming. I knew I wanted to write Richard's story in 2020 when I wrote a spur of the moment Christmas novella called Three Kisses Till Christmas. But I had just signed a contract with Wolf Publishing, and I had plans for another series as well, and just no time to dedicate to Richard's story. Not that I knew what his story was yet.

That pause in timing worked in his favor because one of my favorite cover designers, Anna Volkin (who did my Art of Love series covers) made an illustrated pre-made cover that just immediately made me fall in love. I'm not always a fan of the illustrated style, but there was so much attitude in this cover, and I couldn't resist it. I knew then who Richard was and what his story was--a retelling of my favorite Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing.

But I still needed time. 😭 So I waited, playing with various ideas in my head until--what?!--I finished the major series I was working on and needed a series break.

But, technically, it was part of a series. 🤣 I'm calling the two books in it The Second Chance Season series. And it connects to my Cavendish Family series. So I had to create a timeline between the two Second Chance books--Three Kisses Till Christmas and Much Ado About Hating You--and Love a Lady at Midnight.

And now I'm considering ONE MORE novella-length book for the Second Chance season. 🤣 We'll see. It depends on how confident I am that I can redeem a terrible rogue.
