Finally, my new fantasy romance is releasing on December 19! I'm so excited for it, and so far readers are loving it. Eek! It's always a bit surreal sharing the stories that play across my mind with others and hopefully putting some of the joy I've always gotten from books back into the world for others. And this book feels especially daring to me. Magic? Me? Write about magic? I'd always loved the fantasies of Robin McKinley, Juliet Marillier, and Mercedes Lackey, and it feels so perfect to pair those influences with the 19th century stories I love so well. Man, when I discovered Amanda Quick's Arcane series as a college undergrad, I was HOOKED, and this book owes a lot to her for sure.
