Hello Dear Readers!

Book 4 in the Cavendish Family Series, Love a Lady at Midnight, is finally out! After years of pining and chasing and running, Jackson and Gwendolyn finally get themselves together. FINALLY. Gah.

Also, there's a cute cat.

Some books only come kicking and screaming onto the page, and this was one of them. 🤣😭 But I'm so glad to finally get these two together and help Gwendolyn finally put her demons to rest so she can step into life and love a happy, confident lady!

(Why yes, these characters do become very real for me!)

Interestingly enough, the book I wrote right after Love a Lady--Portraits, Passion, and Other Pastimes--just flowed right out of me. Raph was a grumpy joy to write and Matilda a take-no-excuses perfect match for him. Hopefully in the next two epistles I send to you, there will be a full cover reveal for books 1-3 of the Art of Love series. I'm excited!

The research I've been doing for this new series is just great. I've never really had a personal interest in jewelry. I'm upside down and flying through the air too often for it to be practical for me.

But now I know so much about it! When writing about Regency jewelry, for example, you have to be careful what gemstones you reference because some, like the black opal, were not discovered until the 20th century. And the first really recognized female jeweler--Charlotte Newman--wasn't born until 1836, but she was incredibly successful in her male-dominated field.

Do you like to wear jewelry? Do you have a favorite piece? Maybe something passed down to you? I have my grandmother's right that wear on a chain around my neck when I'm not handstanding. What about you?
