Spicy Secrets, Volume 19
Happy 2023! I hope everyone is doing well. Things have quieted down and I'm getting into the swing of things here in snowy Ohio. It's been a while since I've shoveled, that's for sure! But I'm loving the snow-- and so is Wixey, my Pom. He's having a fantastic time running through the yard with my parents' shepherd!
I'm so excited to share Aidan's cover with you. "Reactivated: Aidan," the seventh and final Project Phoenix book, releases on Valentine's Day. I goofed on my social media graphic-- it should be 2.14 (not 2.15)-- I guess that tells you how much I pay attention to Valentine's Day!
Anyway, Aidan does his own thing and that included his cover. It's a little different, but it felt right. Our dangerous, broody hero wouldn't have it any other way.
Blurb:
Aidan “Vain” Wolf is a hunter, and he plans to stalk his prey down.
However, he doesn’t plan to run into Kennedy Hart again, the woman who caught his eye at a party. But when he finds out the emerald-eyed beauty is the personal assistant to Leeland Goddard, the billionaire financier behind Project Phoenix, Aidan intends to use her to bring her boss down from the inside.
Kennedy doesn’t trust her arrogant employer, and after witnessing several of his shady dealings, her life is on the line. When Aidan swoops in and rescues her, she learns her boss is more evil than she ever imagined and vows to help Aidan and his former Navy SEAL team.
With walls higher than a fortress and guilt that runs deep, Aidan is a loner who doesn’t believe he deserves love. Or the beautiful woman who drives him crazy one minute and makes him want to rip her clothes off the next. But Kennedy recognizes a kindred spirit and is determined to save his lost soul, even if it means sacrificing herself.
Working together, Aidan and Kennedy discover the evil mastermind behind Project Phoenix, Dr. Phineas Dunn, has devised a way to circumvent the reversal serum protecting Aidan’s team from being reactivated. He’s also created a new, ultimate controller powerful enough to ensure that one final reactivation would put Aidan and his team under Dunn’s full control. Forever.
As the clock ticks down, Aidan discovers he has an incredible power…one that allows him to see future events. But with each vision, the danger increases. And each glimpse into the future brings the realization that things may not end well.
Because if his prescient power is accurate, then he, Kennedy and his team may go down in flames.

I discovered the very talented Julie Weaver last year and devoured all of her Team Zulu books way too fast. I'm beyond excited to be on her ARC team and her new one called The Heist is coming very soon! But in the meantime, let's go back to the beginning. The Rescue is a FREE romantic suspense novella and Dylan and Lilly are delicious. Check out!
Until Next Month...
That's it from me! If you want to read more about The Big Move from Cali to Ohio, you can read my crazy daily journal entries over in my Reading Crew. It was quite an adventure from a snowstorm in Arizona and being stuck in a Hallmark movie town to a shredded tire in New Mexico to my emotional breakdown on the Oklahoma turnpike (the tollbooth lady was NOT nice).
Thank you for reading and if you want to hang out with me, come join Charissa's Reading Crew (my private group) and Shades of Romance, my Facebook reader group with a few other really cool indie romance authors! We have a lot of fun and cover it all! Happy Reading! Charissa
