Happy September to all my lovely readers! A big welcome to my newest subscribers-- if you enjoy romantic suspense with alpha protectors, spice and lots of action, you're in the right place! You can always find book recs and lots of fun freebies here, too. And who doesn't love adding to their Mt. Everest TBR?
I'm super excited to share the new cover for "Operation: Light Storm" (Slater Security 3)! This is a spin-off series of Project Phoenix (with some yummy cameos), but they can all be read as standalones. Book 3 is pretty in pink and here's what you can expect:
*Bad@$$ Heroine
*Former Navy SEAL Hero
*Grumpy/Sunshine
*Frenemies to Lovers
*Forced Proximity
*1st POV
"Operation: Light Storm" releases 9.22.22, but you can preorder it here:
Things have been crazy busy (more so than usual!) because I'm getting ready for the Shameless Book Con happening in Orlando this November-- that means lots of fun swag. If you're in the area or want to take a fun road trip, come visit me! I'll be part of the Up and Coming Author Showcase Friday, November 4, and it's going to be a blast!
It seems like this heatwave is finally lifting (at least here in SoCal) and I couldn't be happier. The 110 degree days these past couple of weeks have been too much and I'm looking forward to my move back to Ohio this December where I'll have seasons again. Over 100 degrees just isn't the kind of fall I prefer and I can't wait to see the leaves change again, go to pick apples and pumpkins and breathe in that clean, crisp air.
FREEBIE TIME!
Christmas is definitely right around the corner (only 105 days!) so how about some free holiday reads? "Santa's Package" is a free anthology from 27 authors which includes "Undercover Santa," a novella by my author pal Blye Donovan. Check out the blurb:
When a blackout shuts down Tessa Hadley’s small town, her Christmas Eve goes from bad to worse. That is…until the man of her dreams walks into her bakery dressed in—of all things—a Santa suit. The tale he tells her is wild, but when bullets start flying, she has no choice but to trust him.
Nick Ryker didn’t plan to put Tessa in danger, but since she is, he sure as hell has to get her out of it. As an undercover DEA agent, he’s been in his share of dicey situations, but with more than his own skin on the line for a change, Nick finds himself vulnerable in a way he never would’ve expected.
Will they get to the bottom of what’s going on before red becomes associated with the holiday for a whole new reason?
That's it from me! I hope the rest of your month is fabulous and I'll be back in October with some more fun news. In the meantime, I hope you'll come hang out with me here in my private Facebook group:
And Shades of Romance, my Facebook reader group with a few other really cool indie romance authors! We have a lot of fun and cover it all!
Happy Reading! Charissa
